Out and about in Newcastle Under Lyme yesterday were team Red Dragon’s Mark `Mile High’ Hylton latest Red Dragon recruit Ian `Diamond’ White.

They popped down to a session, in order to assist some local PDC Q School entrants, arranged by Let’s Play Knockout Darts.

Some of the local lads have less experience playing the longer format or under PDC conditions so attempts were made to recreate some of the difficulties they will face, back to back games and a very high level of standard, but also sometimes gaps between games of up to 45 mins.

With Diamond assisting in the afternoon session and Mile High in the evening all bases were covered.

Q School players included Fred Smith, Gareth Pass, Darren Ward, Andy Pearce & Ryan Herrington, each was given a very good work out with young Ryan playing both sessions!

We would like to thanks The Players Snooker Lounge for the use of their excellent facilities and the other professional players who came to assist at their own expense.

Kirk Shepherd & Andy `Slugger’ Brown contributed highly on the day and their advice and support was very much appreciated.

Mark and Ian have always supported grass roots darts as it is where they have come from, so to help out and give others a chance at what they have achieved, comes very easily and naturally too them.
