WILLIAM HILL BECOME OFFICIAL BETTING PARTNER OF McCOY'S PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS
WILLIAM HILL have been unveiled as the
official betting partners of the McCoy's Premier League Darts.
The deal continues the leading
bookmaker's association with the Professional Darts Corporation, following
their successful sponsorship of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton in
November.
As part of the deal, William Hill will
provide on-site betting facilities at the McCoy's Premier League Darts, as well
as seeing their branding display both on the stage and players' shirts during
the £450,000 tournament.
"We thank William Hill for their
continued backing," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn. "The William Hill
Grand Slam of Darts was a huge success and it's great to welcome them as the
official betting partners of the McCoy's Premier League Darts.
"The tournament is building into the
most exciting yet since this concept was introduced in 2005 and we're delighted
to have their support."
David Lynn, Head of Sponsorship and
Partnerships at William Hill, added: "We're proud to become the official
betting partners of the McCoy's Premier League Darts.
"The sport has enjoyed a real purple
patch of late and we're really excited about being associated with this
15-night darting extravaganza."
William Hill make Phil Taylor, the
five-time Premier League Darts champion, their 13/8 favourite, with World
Champion Adrian Lewis the 4/1 second favourite.
Gary Anderson is 9/2 to retain the title
he won last may, while 2009 champion James Wade and Australian ace Simon
Whitlock are both 7/1, with Raymond van Barneveld 20/1 and newcomers Kevin
Painter and Andy Hamilton both 25/1.
